Blair Way – CEO, Director
Blair Way is a seasoned management professional with a career spanning over 25 years within the precious metals, petroleum exploration and development, and mining construction sectors throughout Australia, Asia, Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. Most recently VP Project Development for Ventana Gold Corp. (“Ventana”), building and overseeing operational team through to recent $1.4 billion takeover by AUX Canada Acquisition Inc. Prior to - President & Project Director of OceanaGold (Philippines) Inc., a subsidiary of OceanaGold Corporation (TSX:OGC), overseeing the construction of the Didipio gold copper project. Mr. Way holds a Bachelor of Science (Petroleum Geology) from Acadia University in Nova Scotia, Canada, as well as a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Queensland, Australia.
Geoff Balderson – President, CFO
Mr. Balderson is the President of Flow Capital Corp. and the Vice President of Snowwater Financial Ltd., both of which are private business consulting companies located in Vancouver, British Columbia. Mr. Balderson is currently the President CFO and a director of Strike Graphite Corp. (TSXV: SRK). Mr. Balderson is currently the CEO, CFO, President and a director of Aim Exploration Ltd. (TSXV: AXN.P) and is also a director of Argentum Silver Corp. (TSXV: ASL). Mr. Balderson was a director of Triple Dragon Resources Inc. (CNSX: TDN) from April 2008 to January 2009. Mr. Balderson was a director of Zimtu Capital Corp. (TSXV: ZC) from July 2008 to February 2009, and a director and the President, CEO, CFO and Secretary of Flow Energy Ltd (TSXV: FLO.P) from July 2006 to July 2008. He was previously an Investment Advisor at Union Securities Ltd. in Vancouver, British Columbia from March 2001 to February 2005, and an Investment Advisor with Georgia Pacific Securities Corp. where he worked from March 2000 to March 2001. Mr. Balderson successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course, and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course in 2000. He also successfully completed the Professional Financial Planners Course in 2003. Mr. Balderson received a Marketing and Sales Management Diploma from the University of British Columbia in April 2006. He is a former member of Sales and Marketing Executives International Inc., and held both the designations of Certified Sales Executive CSE, and Certified Marketing Executive CME.
J. Douglas Blanchflower, P. Geo. – Vice President, Exploration
Mr. Blanchflower brings 40 years of mineral exploration experience to Strike Gold Corp. He is a Professional Geologist registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia and the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario. Mr. Blanchflower worked for a number of major mining companies prior to founding Minorex Consulting Ltd. in 1982. As a geological consultant, he has implemented and supervised many gold-silver, uranium and base metal exploration programs throughout North and South America and Asia. During his career, Mr. Blanchflower has served as a director and senior management with several mining companies including: Rea Gold Corporation and Noront Resources Ltd. during the discovery and exploration of the McFaulds Lake Cu-Ni-PGM-Cr deposit. He is currently a Director of Pacific Bay Minerals Ltd.
David Toyoda - Director
Mr. Toyoda graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Law degree and a Bachelor of Commerce degree with honours. He was called to the Bar in 1993. Mr. Toyoda practices in the corporate and securities law area, focusing on companies that list on Canadian stock exchanges. Mr. Toyoda teaches in the areas of corporate governance and public financing at Simon Fraser University, Faculty of Business Administration and the TSX Venture Exchange. He has also coordinated courses for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia. He is the Past Chair of the Securities Law Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association (B.C. Branch) and was a member of the Securities Law Advisory Committee for the B.C. Securities Commission.
Bruno Maruzzo - Director
Mr. Bruno Maruzzo is President of TechnoVenture Inc., a technology consulting company. Mr. Maruzzo has worked with a variety of public and private high technology companies in both the computer and life science sectors, where he held positions in a range of areas including business development, corporate development, investor relations, engineering management and general management. He has also worked in the venture capital field sourcing, assessing and making investments in early stage technology based companies in Canada and the US. He has a Masters degree in Applied Science and a Master of Business Administration. Mr. Maruzzo is currently a director of Pinetree Capital, a TSX-listed company, Calotto Capital Inc, a TSX-V listed company and Critical Outcome Technologies Inc., a TSX-V-listed company.
Robert Findlay – Director
Mr. Findlay is the founding president and chief executive officer of First Mexican Gold Corp. (founded October 2007 and becoming a resulting issuer in January 2011) and continues serving as director. He possesses 23 years experience in the mining and resource sectors having served various senior sales and management roles with Atlas Copco, a global leader in the manufacture of mining, drilling, construction and industrial equipment, from 1988 through 2004, and has since worked with various mineral exploration and oil and gas issuers such as Simba Energy Inc., Lateegra Gold Corp. and West Hawk Development Corp. He is an honours graduate from Haileybury School of Mines (1987).
